  Basic Tweening

Tweening means a change in shape or position. A change in shape of an object is called shape tweening and a change in position of the object is called motion tweening.

How to create a basic shape tweening? We can also frame it in the other way- How to convert a circle into a square?

1) Open a new document and set its size to 200*200.

2) Select the oval tool (4 th position, right side in the toolbar) and draw an oval on the 1 st frame.

3) Now select the 15 th frame and press F6, this creates a new keyframe on 5 th frame. Delete anything on the stage. Select the oval tool, and draw a square. (You can also press F7 to enter a blank keyframe)

4) Again select the first frame. In the properties panel, select the tween option and select shape tweening.

5) For shape tweening the objects should not be grouped. So on the first frame, press CTRL+B, to break apart.

6) A green line appears from frame 1 to 15.(Make sure that the line is smooth not dotted)

7) Press CTRL + ENTER to test your first shape tween.
