  Basic Tweening  
 

Tweening means a change in shape or position. A change in shape of an object is called shape tweening and a change in position of the object is called motion tweening.

 
     
 

How to create motion tweening?

 
 

1) Open a new document and set its size to 200*200.

 
 

2) Select the oval tool (4 th position, right side in the toolbar) and draw an oval on the 1st frame.

 
     
 
 
 

3) On the 15th frame press F6 to create a new keyframe.

 
 
4) Move the object with arrow tool and change its position.
 
 


 
 

5) Again select 1st frame. Right Click and select the first option that says – ‘create motion tween'. Alternatively, in the properties panel, select motion tween from the tween option.

 
 
6) For motion tweening, the objects being used should be grouped. On both frames(frame 1 and frame 15), select the object and press CTRL+G.
 
 
7) A blue line appears from frame 1 to 10.(Make sure that the blue line that appears should be smooth not dotted.)
 
 
8) Press CTRL + ENTER to test your first motion tween.
